Billie Eilish Shares New Song “my future”: Listen

Music, News

Billie Eilish has released her new single “my future.” She wrote and recorded the track (produced by her brother FINNEAS) during the coronavirus lockdown. “It’s a song that’s really really personal and special to me,” Eilish wrote in a statement to fans. “When we wrote this song, it was exactly where my head was at—hopeful, excited and a craaaazy amount of self reflection and self growth. But recently it has also taken on a lot of new meaning in the context of what’s happening in the world now. I hope you can all find meaning in it for yourselves.” Watch Billie Eilish’s “my future” video (animated by Andrew Onorato) below. Scroll down for the single artwork.

Following the release of her Grammy-winning debut album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, Billish Eilish released the single “everything I wanted.” She and FINNEAS were also recruited to create the theme to the next James Bond film, No Time to Die, which was originally scheduled for a U.S. release date of April 10 before being pushed to November. Eilish and FINNEAS were joined by legendary composer Hans Zimmer and the Smiths’ Johnny Marr for a performance of “No Time to Die” at the 2020 BRIT Awards in London in February.

Since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, Billie Eilish and FINNEAS have made several appearances on benefit livestreams: They were on the iHeart Living Room Concert for America in March, performing an acoustic version of the Grammywinning hitbad guy.” The two then performed on the Global Citizen One World: Together at Home broadcast in April, covering the Bobby Hebb soul classic “Sunny.”

In May 2020, Eilish released a short film titled Not My Responsibility, which addressed public opinion and perception of her body and clothing choices. The film was originally part of the stage production for her arena tour behind When We Fall Asleep, Where do We Go?, which lasted only a few dates before she was forced to cancel the rest of her scheduled shows due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier this year, Billie Eilish launched a new radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio platform. The program, titled me & dad Radio features conversations between Eilish and her father about music.
