How to Change Your Hairstyle in Ooblets | Screen Rant

For gamers who love to play with life, Ooblets is a nice way to customize a character, unwind, and live at a more casual pace. In the game, which has been called a cross between Animal Crossing and Pokemon, players create and customize their look, home, and farm while growing, collecting and training ooblets, little monster creatures who love to dance. But, at the start of a new game, some customization options just won’t be available; players will need to wait to unlock and access better hairstyles, and any facial hairstyles at all.

To change hairstyles in Ooblets, players need to first travel to Badgetown and participate in a few tasks from Mayor Tinstle. Completing tasks will allow players to progress through the game and unlock new content. Along the way, they’ll want to be sure to earn gummies, the in-game currency, as each new look costs 16 gummies. Because the game is still new, there are not very many styles to choose from, yet. Still, players will have access to far more options in Badgetown than they will at the start of the game. Here’s how to change hairstyles in Ooblets.

Find the Town Barbershop in Ooblets

Ooblets Badgetown Map Snups Barbershop

Once in Badgetown, players will need to seek out Snups, the town barbershop. The easiest way to get to the barbershop is to enter the main part of town and turn left at the bottom of the stairs.

Snups is located in this lower east part of town, to the right of the Cuddlecups Cafe. It is marked by large pink and purple scissors. Inside, players will see three chairs. The first chair is used to change hairstyles. The second chair is for facial hair. The third chair allows players to change their hair color.

Players may or may not encounter Padrig, the barber. He does not need to be in the shop for a player to change their hair.

Ooblets scratches that Animal Crossing itch.

In the first chair, players can see all 18 options for new hairstyles. Each style costs 16 gummies. Clicking on the hairstyle and confirming it will apply the changes automatically, and returning to the previous hairstyle will cost another 16 gummies. Players are encouraged to use the Preview function to avoid selecting a style they do not like.

In the second chair, players can choose from 9 different facial hairstyles. Each one costs 15 gummies.

In the third chair, players can preview all 17 available hair color options. Changing hair color costs 20 gummies, so be sure to take advantage of the preview option before settling on a color. At the moment, players cannot change their facial hair color.
