It looks like BIP’s Blake Horstmann has learned a thing or two from his time in paradise. The reality TV star has opened up about his new long distance romance. During his time last year on The Bachelor’s spin-off series, Horstmann gained a bad boy rep fast. If you’re a fan, then you may think of Stagecoach now in a totally different light thanks to Horstmann. The 31-year-old was caught up in a few too many love triangles and was often questioned about his intentions being on the show. He also didn’t start exactly on the right foot with another contestant Caelynn Miller-Keyes, who claimed the two had slept together prior to filming BIP. However, it looks like the star has turned a new leaf since paradise and revealed earlier this week that he is happily seeing someone. On Thursday, Blake Horstmann appeared on the podcast “Let’s Talk About It With Taylor Nolan.” While on the podcast, Horstmann was candid about his new relationship saying that he was in “a good place” in his life right now, which allowed him to enter the dating scene with a fresh start. The celeb said of his relationship that he plans to take things slow and noted that even before his time on the Bachelor series he rushed into things too quickly. He explains in the podcast: “I fall hard, I fall fast. So I’m trying to navigate this in a different way and do this differently instead of doing that, [..] Because I do go in hard, and either I get scared or she gets scared, so I’m trying to do this one a little bit different.” Along with saying how he is trying to take things slow with his new relationship, he also says his new love interest, who he doesn’t want to reveal to the public just yet, does not reside in Colorado, which is where he lives. He does say that the two have been doing a lot of video chats thanks to Zoom.
It looks like quarantine may have an impact on reality TV stars getting into new relationships. This past month, former Bachelor Peter Weber participated in an interview with his now girlfriend, and former contestant, Kelley Flanagan where they discussed their plans to move in together.
Other reality TV stars not from Bachelor, such as Love Is Blind stars, Kenny Barnes, Jessica Batten, and even Mark Cuevas, have announced that they are dating people, too.
