Book Review: Kenny Wilkerson “Rockin’ Recipes for Autism”

Books, Music

“Rockin’ Recipes for Autism” compiled by Rocker and FM radio host Kenny Wilkerson is not only packed full of delicious gourmet recipes from the most famous and iconic musicians on the planet, but it also contains some of the coolest, poster worthy pictures as well. These cooking techniques are contributed from members and former members of the following bands, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Quiet Riot, Toto, Skid Row, Warrant, Evanescence, Great White, Poison, Nova Rex, and others, all in the name of autism.

It’s a beautiful hard-covered, coffee table prize as well as a rock n roll cookbook. The net proceeds of the book will benefit “We Rock for Autism” in support of the music therapy programs. Author Kenny Wilkerson has one son who happens to be autistic. With this book Wilkerson hopes to raise awareness and acceptance. Every book sold allows them to become closer to helping a child on the spectrum receive music therapy services and more.

The book is making music history as rock n roll cookbooks have never been published in the name of autism. Aside from the vibrant and colorful pictures author Kenny Wilkerson gives a heartwarming dedication to his son and autism. There was a lot of work put into creating this book which is apparent as soon as you hold it in your hands. Hats off to Kenny for  great job well done!!! The book is awesome, the recipes are well explained….even for someone like myself who only cooks in dire emergencies. Above all that the cause is great!

5/5 Stars
