St. Vincent has shared a new acoustic take on her song “New York.” The video was originally shot for the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s annual gala, which was held virtually this year to comply with COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. The gala honored actress Cate Blanchett, author Zadie Smith, and producer Jeanne Donovan Fisher. Watch St. Vincent’s performance below.

“New York” is taken from Annie Clark’s most recent studio album Masseduction, released in 2017. Clark released a stripped-down version of the record called MassEducation in 2018. Earlier this month, she released a song called “The Eddy,” from the soundtrack to a new Netflix series of the same name.
