Archers of Loaf Cover the Rolling Stones’ “Street Fighting Man”: Listen

Music, News

North Carolina rock quartet Archers of Loaf have released a cover of the Rolling Stones’ 1968 Beggars Banquet classic “Street Fighting Man.” The group will release a physical copy of the song for Record Store Day 2020, which was rescheduled earlier this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Hear Archers of Loaf take on the Stones below.

“Street Fighting Man” is the B-side to Archers of Loaf’s Record Store Day single, with the previously released “Raleigh Days” on the A-side. “Raliegh Days” arrived in February, marking the band’s first new music in over 20 years.

Record Store Day is now taking place across three days as opposed to one. It was originally scheduled for April 18, but was postponed until June 20. Now, the annual celebration of independent record stores will be held through a series of “RSD Drops.” These will occur on three Saturdays spread across three consecutive months: August 29, September 26, and October 24.
