P!nk Tested Positive for Coronavirus

Music, News

P!nk has revealed that she recently tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). The singer broke the news in a statement posted on her Twitter account. “Two weeks ago my three-year-old son, Jameson, and I were showing symptoms of COVID-19,” she wrote. “Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive.” P!nk wrote that her family was already sheltering at home at the time, and continued the practice for the following two weeks. P!nk added that “just a few days ago, we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative.” Find her full remarks below.

P!nk also announced that she is donating $500,000 to the Los Angeles Mayor’s emergency COVID-19 crisis fund, and $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of her mother, who worked there for 18 years in Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplant Center. “It is an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely accessible,” she wrote. P!nk also thanked healthcare professionals for all of their hard work.
