Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has covered “I Think We’re Alone Now,” the Ritchie Cordell–penned song made famous by Tommy James & The Shondells and Tiffany Darwish. Armstrong recorded his version of “I Think We’re Alone Now” in his bedroom. Listen below.

“While we’ve all been in quarantine I’ve been reflecting on the things that matter the most in my life. Family, friends and of course music,” Armstrong wrote. “I figure if we have to spend this time in isolation at least we can be alone together.”

Green Day were among the first bands who postponed tour dates due to the coronavirus outbreak. The band released its new album Father of All… last month.
