‘Hunt: Showdown’ Launches on PlayStation 4

Horror

Good things come to those who wait. In this case, Deep Silver and Crytek have finally released their competitive monster hunter multiplayer game Hunt: Showdown on the PlayStation 4. In addition to that, the Xbox One version of the game (which headed out of Early Access back in September) is now available as a physical release.

If, for some reason, you’re not up to speed on the game, Hunt is set in Louisiana in 1895, and mixes PvP and PvE elements. In the classic game mode, a match of Hunt pits ten players—playing solo or in teams of two—against each other as they race to take out a monster for a bounty they must collect and get off of the map. Hunt also offers a quickplay mode for solo players to scavenge for weapons as they compete for a diminishing pool of bounty. The higher the risk, the higher the reward, but a single mistake could cost everything.

Hunt: Showdown is also available on PC via Steam, and Xbox One.
