Ethan Hawke Returning to “The Purge” Franchise in the Show’s Upcoming Second Season Finale!

Horror

The Purge franchise began with a contained home invasion film back in 2013, which starred Ethan Hawke as the affluent James Sandin, a security system salesmen who didn’t survive his family’s hellish ordeal on Purge Night. Naturally, we never expected that Hawke would ever be able to return to the franchise, but he’s actually coming back to that world next week!

We’ve learned today that Hawke will be reprising the role of James Sandin in the season two finale of USA’s “The Purge” TV series, airing Tuesday, December 17 at 9/8c.

The press release explains how this is possible:

“James is featured in the finale’s cold open, which flashes back to one week before the first national purge and the first time his high-tech security system is tested.”

Titled “7:01 AM,” the finale picks up as Purge Night rages on and Esme, Ryan, Marcus and Ben fight for their lives and their loved ones.

Up above is your first look at Hawke playing James Sandin one more time!
