Andy Cohen Announces New Series: Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

I’ve felt like I’m in heaven these past couple of weeks with four new Real Housewives shows a week. The limit does not exist when it comes to the number of Real Housewives shows that I would watch.

That’s why I’m so happy that Andy Cohen announced a new show for us to watch during a panel at BravoCon. Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is on the way!

At BravoCon, Andy began, “We have always tried to choose cities that have completely unique personalities and we also try to try to throw a little curveball now and then. Pick somewhere that you probably weren’t expecting.” Ain’t that the tuth? No one saw this coming. There has been gossip about so many specific places: Chicago and Nashville just to name two. But, Salt Lake City has never been in the conversation. Not until now at least.

Andy addressed the public speculation during the announcement. He told the crowd, “People have been tweeting me a lot lately, ‘I think it’s Chicago. I think it’s Houston. I think it’s here. I think it’s there.”

And that’s when he broke the news, “We are very excited to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah for the Real Housewives of SLC.” Andy elaborated, “I have to tell you in Utah, you’ve got the majesty of the mountains. You’ve got the majesty of the Mormon religion. You’ve got an exclusive community.”

The new show isn’t super surprising news. Andy has been hinting at it for a couple of days. Yesterday, the official Bravo account tweeted, “What if a new #RealHousewives city was coming to you in the near future??? haha, jk …unless?” Then, Andy quoted the tweet and added, “Felt cute. Might delete later.” This morning, the Bravo account tweeted, “BREAKING FROM #BRAVOCON: New #RealHousewives city dropping in about 2 HOURS!”

As of this second, there is no information on the cast members, the premiere date, or anything else, but all Real Housewives news is good Real Housewives news. At least to me. This is the tenth Real Housewives show ever. RIP Miami and Washington, D.C. Those women have to be so livid and bitter these days. Well, maybe not all of them, but at least a couple.

Of course, we will be covering all RHOSLC news as it breaks. So, keep an eye out. Hopefully, one news item will be a catchier acronym than RHOSLC.
