The gay right-wing troll Milo Yiannopoulos attempted to win fans in the furry community by attending a Chicago convention, but furries had other ideas and banned him instead.

It emerged last week that the disgraced Breitbart editor is now ‘broke’ and unable “to put food on the table” after he was deplatformed from Twitter and Facebook for violating hate speech rules.

He complained that since becoming a “social media refugee” his following has become “microscopic” – which could explain he seems to be reaching out for fans elsewhere.

He recently announced on the fringe app Telegram that he has now adopted a ‘fursona’ as a snow leopard and has purchased tickets to a Chicago furry convention, Midwest FurFest, in December.

According to Right Wing Watch, he claimed to requested to host a panel called “The Politics of Fur.” He asked his followers to message him to arrange “dinner, drinks, photos or anything else.”

Unfortunately for Yiannopoulos the response from the furry community was less than enthusiastic, and the convention faced countless calls to ban him from attending.

In response to the uproar, convention officials issued a statement: “The board of Midwest Furry Fandom, consistent with our posted code of conduct, has rescinded Mr. Yiannopoulos’s registration. He is not welcome to attend this or any future Midwest FurFest event.”

Nice try, Milo.

The response didn’t sit well with Yiannopoulos, who allegedly contacted the FurFest press team threatening to come anyway, with “friends.”

But as you can expect, the internet was only too happy to see the self-described ‘pop star of hate’ be rejected by yet another community… and the puns just wrote themselves.
