Watch Post Malone Sing Fleet Foxes While Smoking a Cigarette

Post Malone is a really big fan of Fleet Foxes. For example, in April 2015, he tweeted, “If you don’t like Fleet Foxes, then fuck you.” He also wrote that year, “Fleet Foxes is the only group that I love every single song of,” and when the band came back from hiatus in 2017 with “Third of May / Ōdaigahara,” Posty excitedly tweeted, “NEW FUCKING FLEET FOXES SONG.” If that’s not enough, Post called Robin Pecknold “a great writer” in a 2018 Billboard interview.

Well, now Posty’s done it: His tour photographer Adam DeGross has shared footage of Post singing some of Helplessness Blues’ eight-minute epic “The Shrine / An Argument.” On his Instagram Stories, Robin Pecknold reacted, “This made my day ha.” Find the magical moment below.

Last week, Post Malone released his new album Hollywood’s Bleeding. It includes “Myself,” co-written with former Fleet Foxes drummer Joshua Tillman aka Father John Misty. Of course, back in December 2016, Post tweeted, “Please….. if you haven’t listened to any Fleet or FJM, I don’t know if I can talk to you.”
