Vampire Weekend Announce 2020 Tour

Music, News

Vampire Weekend played a sold-out show at New York’s Madison Square Garden last night (September 6) in support of their latest album Father of the Bride. The band live-streamed their career-spanning, three hour set via Live Nation’s Twitter account. At the end of their performance, a graphic featuring 19 brand new tour dates appeared on the stream under the title “FOTB 2020.”

The next leg of the tour kicks off May 29 in Westbrook, Maine and stops off in Pittsburgh, Detroit, New Orleans, and more before wrapping up in Birmingham, Alabama October 7. Find Vampire Weekend’s full itinerary below, and on the band’s website. Tickets go on sale September 11.

Last night’s concert marked Vampire Weekend’s first-ever performance at MSG. Father of the Bride arrived earlier this year after the band released a string of singles and accompanying music videos for tracks like “Harmony Hall” and “Sunflower.” FOTB is the long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s Modern Vampires of the City.
