With the Kentucky Derby around the corner recording artist and timeless-age inspirational influencer Irene Michaels was thrilled to learn of race-horsing trainer Bob Baffert’s return this year to Churchill Downs. Aside from Irene’s accomplishments in the entertainment industry (Acting, modeling, singing, writing, etc.) she has been and still is an award winning equestrian and rides frequently when her schedule allows. When not able to ride she still visits her own horse Mark frequently.

Bob Baffert is a Hall of Fame racehorse trainer renowned for his significant achievements in American horse racing. Born on January 13, 1953, Baffert has trained two Triple Crown winners: American Pharoah in 2015 and Justify in 2018. His horses have won the Kentucky Derby six times, tying the record for the most wins by a trainer.

After serving a suspension related to a failed drug test by his horse Medina Spirit, Baffert is set to return to the Kentucky Derby in 2025 with two contenders: Rodriguez and Citizen Bull. Rodriguez recently won the Grade II Wood Memorial, while Citizen Bull boasts multiple Grade I victories.

Baffert’s return to Churchill Downs marks a significant moment in his career, as he aims for a record-breaking seventh Kentucky Derby win.

Both Irene Michaels and Bob Baffert exemplify dedication and excellence in their respective fields, contributing richly to the worlds of entertainment and horse racing.
