Dexter: Resurrection” is officially in production, which means its cast continues to grow. The latest addition to join is Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Peter Dinklage (The Toxic Avenger, “Game of Thrones”).

No official plot synopsis has been revealed just yet, but we do have some intriguing character details. Dinklage isn’t just joining as a series regular, but the actor is said to play the season’s Big Bad villain.

Deadline details, “Dinklage will portray ‘Leon Prater,’ a billionaire venture capitalist. To the world, Leon is a generous philanthropist, but behind his polished exterior lies dark intrigue.” The outlet notes that “Dinklage is playing the big baddy of the season.”

It sounds as though we can expect to see Dinklage’s character appear frequently with Uma Thurman‘s character, Charley. “A former Special Ops officer, Charley worked various high-level private security jobs before taking on her position as Prater’s resourceful and meticulous right-hand woman.”

Michael C. Hall will reprise his role as serial killer Dexter Morgan alongside David Zayas as Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Harrison Morgan, and James Remar as Harry Morgan.

Clyde Phillips returns as showrunner and executive producer. Hall also executive produces along with Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. Marcos Siega serves as producing director. Monica Raymund (“Dexter: Original Sin”) is set to direct four episodes with Siega directing six episodes of the series distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

While we wait to uncover more plot details, fans can get an idea of what to expect from “Dexter: Resurrection” in the premiere episode of “Dexter: Original Sin”. The franchise prequel series stars   Patrick Gibson as the budding young serial killer, and the first season is set to wrap this Valentine’s Day.

As for Dinklage, horror fans can expect to see the actor clean up as the new Toxie, in Macon Blair’s upcoming reimagining of The Toxic Avenger.
