The new year is starting off golden.
That’s because the 2025 Golden Globes are signaling the start of an award season that will bring Hollywood’s biggest stars together to celebrate the best in film and television.
The nominations for this year’s ceremony—taking place Sunday, Jan. 5, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles—are stacked with the most critically acclaimed movies, like Emilia Pérez, Wicked, Conclave and A Real Pain, and beloved TV hits, including The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building and Shogun.
And while many acting legends will return for their chance at taking home a trophy, an impressive new group of first-time Golden Globe nominees are also up for top honors.
Wicked’s Ariana Grande, Emilia Pérez‘s Zoe Saldaña, Nobody Wants This‘ Adam Brody, Hit Man‘s Glen Powell and The Last Showgirl‘s Pamela Anderson could all win big for their stellar onscreen performances.
And if the A-list caliber of talent among the nominees wasn’t enough, viewers are sure to split a rib when the hilarious Nikki Glaser takes the stage to host this year’s telecast.
