Beauty influencer Cyrus Veyssi

Just in time for the holidays, Google launched an online ad campaign this month featuring nonbinary influencer and “beauty creator” Cyrus Veyssi to promote the tech giant’s new “Nearby” shopping feature.

The right-wing outrage machine gobbled up the advert like a Christmas fruitcake.

In the 20-second spot, Veyssi is seen in a nondescript but tastefully decorated apartment bemoaning “winter dryness.”

“This winter dryness is not it, especially when I have so many holiday looks to pull off! Thankfully, I know just the thing,” they say spritely.

Veyssi then raises their rarely seen IRL Google Pixel phone to shop for some skincare products, and violà! They locate a store “nearby” carrying their favorite creamy skincare solution.

“And it’s in stock nearby!” Veyssi adds, making the point.

“Hydrated skin is a gift to everyone,” the beauty expert advises as they swan through a nondescript store. “No wrapping needed. Happy holidays to me!”

Enter Oli London as a formerly Korean Grinch Who Stole Christmas to steal Veyssi’s holiday cheer and gin up his right-wing followers like a holiday fizz.

“Google launches WOKE Christmas campaign featuring man wearing women’s clothing complaining about his skin,” London posted to X along with the clip but absent any other comment. That was left to London’s half-a-million followers.

“I’m so sick and tired of woke groups and companies pushing this disgusting degeneracy and mental illness,” one said.

“Hold on there, trans f*ck. Stop trying to force 99% of the population to participate in your mental illness,” read a meme.

“Everything WOKE turns to sh*t,” read another.

London, a self-promoting detransitioner, earned headlines in 2018 when he underwent 18 surgeries to turn himself Korean, later coming out in a post-surgery YouTube video as nonbinary and identifying as “they/them/Korean/Jimin.” The pronouns were a nod to his obsession with K-Pop superstar Jimin.

Despite his nonbinary Korean past — Tucker Carlson applauded London’s transition “back to a British man” in an interview — London reliably earns the outrage over anything he posts.

Replied one right-wing follower, speaking for everyone, really, except the bots: “This has gotten exhausting.”

Earlier this month, anti-trans activist Riley Gaines raged at the ad as well.

“Did Google ever hear of Bud Light?” the Fox host asked Gaines on his show. “Did they not watch what happened to Bud Light?… Did they not ever hear the phrase, ‘go woke go broke’ ’cause it seems like they’re not getting it.”

Gaines replied to Hannity that Google did a great job “if their goal was to make Americans frustrated and to lose money.”
