Prince, the Clash, Frankie Beverly, and Roxanne Shanté are among the Grammys’ 2025 Lifetime Achievement honorees, the Recording Academy announced today. Frankie Valli, Dr. Bobby Jones, and Taj Mahal round out the recipients; Erroll Garner, Glyn Johns and Tania León have been named as the Trustees Award winners. The Technical Grammy will go to the late Dr. Leo Beranek.

The Special Merit Awards Ceremony—where the awards, many posthumous, will be handed out—takes place the day before the main gala, on February 1, 2025. The main 2025 ceremony airs live, from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, on February 2. Last year’s Lifetime Achievement honorees were N.W.A., Laurie Anderson, Donna Summer, Gladys Knight, Tammy Wynette, and the Clark Sisters.
