Pamela Hayden is done repeating the fourth grade.

After 35 years on The Simpsons, the voice actress, who lent her voice to characters like Milhouse, Jimbo Jones and Rod Flanders, has officially announced her retirement.

“The time has come for me to hang up my microphone, but how do I say goodbye to The Simpsons?” Pamela wrote in a press release, per NBC News. “Not easily.”

Indeed, the 70-year-old has been a part of the series since its 1989 debut and expressed bittersweet sentiments in parting ways with her lovably awkward 10-year-old character.

“It’s been an honor and a joy to have worked on such a funny, witty, and groundbreaking show,” she continued. “And to give voice to Milhouse (and Jimbo Jones, Rod Flanders, Janey, Malibu Stacy, and many others).”

The actress’ last episode, airing Nov. 24, “Treehouse of Horror Presents: Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes,” will send her off with a bang. After all, the series’ first “Treehouse of Horror” installment aired in 1990, and it has continued to garner some of its most iconic episodes.
