Recently unveiled, “Waltzing On A High Wire” written completely and produced by film score composer, pianist and recording artist Randy Edelman via Tribeca Records is a soaring, open-hearted collection of music brimming with personality and passion from start to finish.
Randy has earned the global reputation of defining new and diverse genres of music within the soundtracks of his television and motion picture career and throughout the superlative recording canon of his popular music, where there is never a note that sounds the same. However “Waltzing On A High Wire” opens up yet another brand new and vibrant era of the songwriter’s music…..one impossibly cool.
The careful production of the record leaves room to allow for the lyrics to simmer. The songs take twists and turns and the themes are inventive and instantly memorable, an exhilarating testament to the composers musical resilience, romantic vulnerability, and compassionate sensitivity.
The 11 track LP showcases songs including “Birds of Freedom”, the first single offering, “21 Again”, a coming of age themed saga, “Going Through the Motions”, a tale about the sadder side of romance, “Pat Wants to Know”, a song about a lack of communication, and more. It seems to explore a more personal side of the artist and his life experiences. The album is a musical feast of beautiful music coupled with dynamic stories that resonate with the human condition.
Randy will support the album in a one night only solo concert at Carnegie Hall on December 8, 2024, and again on June 6, 2025 at Lincoln Center. The record is available on all digital platforms, on vinyl CD format and in a limited edition, double vinyl album.
