Republicans across the country are outraged that Democrats have decided to start calling them “weird” this election season, and one GOP Senate candidate’s response was to throw overly sexualized insults at Democrats while posting videos of LGBTQ+ people.
Royce White, the state GOP-endorsed candidate for Senate in Minnesota who could face incumbent Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) this fall, accused Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) of engaging in explicit gay sex acts while reposting a clip of Walz calling Republicans weird.

“We’re weird? You freaks support pride festivals where grown men are getting pissed on and sucking each other off in public,” White wrote. “You’re a clown and you’re lucky your term wasn’t up or I would’ve run against you. The People Are Coming! You communists are exposed.”

Brian Evans, the out press secretary for Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison (D), responded to White, noting that describing those sex acts in response to a video that had nothing to do with sex was, in itself, pretty weird.
“Way to prove you’re not weird, Royce,” Evans wrote.
“Hey Keith Ellison… Come get your weird press secretary,” White responded. “Brian, No matter how gay you become the gaslighting won’t work on us rational people. It doesn’t matter how many weirdos you get together, I know what’s right and wrong. Now get back to your job, The People Are Coming!”
White added a video from Leather Pride San Francisco – which a separate event from the city’s Pride festivities and usually held months after – showed half-nude people getting whipped.
But posting that video didn’t seem to allay concerns that White is weird. Another X user named Leeanna, who describes herself as a “patriot” in her bio, wrote: “Sounds like a closeted fantasy, royce. I’ve seen many pride festivals. I’ve yet to see either of those things. Royce…it’s ok if your gay.”
“This is their go to move… I just keep bringing the evidence. Weird!” White responded, sharing the same video of Leather Pride again.
Journalist Aaron Rupar shared one of White’s messages about Walz and White responded: “Who is this cuck? Is he denying this is actually happening? That’s Weird.”
A “cuck” is a term from pornography that refers to a man who gets sexual gratification from another man having sex with his significant other.
Using terms from porn to describe people in nonsexual situations also led to more accusations of being weird.
White posted a video of women of unknown political affiliation engaging in what appeared to be some kind of group therapy exercise (no context for the clip was provided) and wrote: “Weird. Which voter base is this? Vote in the Minnesota primary August 13th.”
White posted video of LGBTQ+ people at Pride, some of them in costumes, and called them weird.
White has a long history of using anti-LGBTQ+ slurs on social media, using the word “f*g” at least seven times and the word “tr**ny” twice.
In a January 3, 2023 post, White referred to a handful of journalists as “beta, cuck, f-gs,” though he added the word “non-sexual” in parenthesis after the slur.
In a December 29, 2022 post, White wrote, “Sean Penn is a f*g. Cancel deez nuts… I’m going to say what I want. Ppl who want throw a fit about it and go, ‘You can’t be a politician and talk like that…’ They’re in on it!”
In a September 2, 2023 post, White wrote, “Mental Health is the most important societal issue we face. Not woke “Mental Health’, with Tr**ny Godmothers… The human psychology! We’ve been brainwashed, anybody who dares to say it or do something about it is gaslit or taken out.”
But White may be a longshot candidate at best. Even if he wins the August primary, Klobuchar won her third reelection campaign in 2018 by winning over 60% of the vote.
