After bringing the Resident Evil 4 remake to Apple and iOS devices earlier this year, Capcom has now turned their attention to doing the same with Resident Evil 7 and the Resident Evil 2 remake. Resident Evil 7 will arrive on the App Store on July 2, 2024 for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and every iPad and Mac with the M1 chip or later, while Resident Evil 2 is still being developed.

Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 2 will provide “console quality experiences” running natively on Apple devices, utilizing Apple’s MetalFX Upscaling technology to “deliver impressive visuals and remarkable performance on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.”

Much like what Capcom did with RE4, players will be able to try a portion of each game at launch with a free download before accessing the full experience with a single purchase. Both titles will also offer Universal Purchase and cross progression between iPhone, iPad, and Mac, allowing players to enjoy the games across all three devices with their save files.

The iPhone and iPad versions of Resident Evil 7 will include enhanced controls with a new Auto Fire feature. Compatible Bluetooth controllers are also supported, offering an experience mirroring home consoles.

Resident Evil 7 is available for pre-order today. The main game and the Not A Hero story DLC will be released together as a bundle. Players can also spring for the Gold Edition upgrade, which expands the game with more DLC, including End of Zoe, Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, the 5-Coin Set, Survival Pack, and the Madhouse difficulty mode.

Resident Evil 7 is also available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, the Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
