Lauren O’Brien will be a featured guest on “If These Walls Could Talk” with hosts Wendy Stuart and Tym Moss on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024 at 2 PM ET live from the infamous Pangea Restaurant.

Wendy Stuart is an author, celebrity interviewer, model, filmmaker and along with If These Walls Could Talk she hosts TriVersity Talk, a weekly web series with featured guests discussing their lives, activism and pressing issues in the LGBTQ Community.

Tym Moss is a popular NYC singer, actor, and radio/tv host who recently starred in the hit indie film “JUNK” to critical acclaim.

Lauren O’Brien (Writer/Performer) has performed regionally in To Kill a Mockingbird (Mayella), Angels in America (Harper), A Wrinkle in Time (Mrs. Whatsit), and The Odyssey (Athena), among others. She was also a founding member of director Polina Klimovitskaya’s avant-garde theatre troupe, Terra Incognita, where she co-developed the original work Ophelia Tapestry. Lauren credits Ms. Klimovitskaya for teaching her a “psycho-physical” approach to creativity. Lauren began her foray into music as a lyricist for producer Marc Godwin and singer Janice Robinson. She later recorded her own rock/poetry albums, Inconsequential Dream and Panic,as well as a punk-cabaret album, The Devil’s Girlfriend (which she expanded into a theatrical show and toured throughout Germany). Lauren has toured extensively in the United States, Canada and Europe, and has performed as part of CMJ, Howl Fest, MEANY Fest, and more. She is a two-time recipient of New Century Music Awards. Her first solo show, Jaxx & Lolo, won the Audience Choice Award and the Excellence in Multi-Media Award at the 2020 New York City Fringe Festival. Her most recent solo show, Lolo’s Boyfriend Show, won the Audience Choice Award at the 2024 New York City Fringe Festival.

Lolo’s Boyfriend Show:

Lolo lands a dream-come-true European tour with her punk cabaret show. But when it gets canceled after just a few weeks, she’s forced to pack up her funky costumes and red platform boots and drag them back to her mom’s house in suburbia. Lolo thought she’d be famous and happily married by now. Her Psychic Therapist told her she would be. Instead, she doesn’t even have a job. She’s stuck in her childhood bedroom, tormented by the remnants of many failed relationships.

A tempting invitation from The British Guy she met on tour could be her ticket to a happier life. He’s different from all the others. He takes showers. He hasn’t asked her for money. He didn’t bring a stripper on any of their dates. But his attempts to woo end up triggering a traumatic trip through boyfriends past. From The Yogi to The Texter to The Addict, Lolo’s penchant for attracting the bizarre really cuts her up. As she grapples with her ghosts, Lolo has a radical realization: maybe she doesn’t even want a boyfriend. Maybe…just maybe…she has a different path to happiness in this world…
