The ongoing 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival in France has once again proven to be a spectacular display of high fashion and glamour. The event, renowned for its red carpet extravagance, did not disappoint as celebrities and fashion icons showcased their most stunning ensembles.

During the jury member photo call on the first day, Eva Green captivated onlookers in a structured Vivienne Westwood outfit, exuding sophistication. Lily Gladstone opted for a sleek Gucci shirt dress, complemented by staggering platforms, showcasing a blend of modern and traditional aesthetics.

Meryl Streep wore a white double crepe sablé blazer, matching Samantha trousers and a navy satin Gansevoort minaudière, all from Michael Kors Collection, to receive an honorary Palme d’Or at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in Cannes.

On the second day of the festival, Bella Hadid continued her homage to old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist. Her black dress featured a feathered bust and sheer gloves, accentuated by coloured precious stones. Across Cannes, Chanel hosted an intimate soirée attended by close friends. Tilda Swinton, dressed in a navy silk set and velvet flat mules, drew attention with a ribbon tied across one eye, adding a dramatic flair. Marion Cotillard also made an appearance, donning her third Chanel look of the week, highlighting her enduring elegance.

Helena Christensen, the iconic ’90s supermodel, made a grand entrance that reaffirmed her legendary status.

Other notable appearances included Anya Taylor-Joy in custom Dior haute couture, Sabrina Elba in Fendi couture, Greta Gerwig in custom Armani Privé, and Naomi Campbell wearing Chanel haute couture from the spring-summer 1997 collection.

On May 15, India’s Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sanjay Jaju, along with Ambassador of India to France, Jawed Ashraf, inaugurated the Bharat Pavillion. This significant event marks India’s continued presence and influence at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Cannes red carpet this year will also see the presence of several Bollywood celebrities, including popular actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kiara Advani, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shobhita Dhulipala, and more, adding to the festival’s global diversity and glamour.
