Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) attacked Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Rachel Levine for posting a Black History Month message to social media.
In Levine’s video, she talks about how “climate change is having a disproportionate effect on the physical and mental health of Black communities,” a fact supported by science.
She rushed to blame the shooting entirely on the shooter’s identity… and then got that identity wrong.
“Here is a man pretending to be a woman claiming the climate is hurting black Americans more than others,” Greene said, attacking Levine for being transgender. Greene didn’t say why she doubts Levine’s statements that Black people are being disproportionately affected by climate change.
They are not pretending to be anything! They’re being themselves without shame. America is great, and our citizens are encouraged to be their best selves.
First, it has been shown time and time again that disadvantaged communities always bear the brunt of problems such as climate change. Second, because of remarks similar to yours a local school board member was just censored and is being pressured to resign. You should be next.
