Irene Michaels To Receive “House Music Artist of the Year” At The Get Out Awards On December 10th, 2023 In NYC

The 2023 “Get Out Magazine Awards” will be presented on Sunday December 10th at 6:00PM in New York City and Singer Irene Michaels will be honored as “House Music Artist of the Year”. This comes after her Josie Music Award 2023 victory in Nashville at The Grand Ole Opry for her House Music Song of the Year “I Like Rain” (via Trax Records) this fall and her Grammy consideration for Best New Artist and Best Song of the Year for her release “What The World Needs Now is Love” (via Tribeca Records).

Irene will be joined by some of the most prestigious honorees including Randy Edelman earning the Lifetime Achievement Award as Composer, Desmond Child for Lifetime Achievement Award for songwriting, Michael Musto as Critic’s Choice Award, Bob The Drag Queen for International Entertainer of the Year, Elvis Duran for Lifetime Achievement for Radio Personality and Host, Tree Sequoia for Legendary Bartender and Madonna for Lifetime LGBTQ Straight Ally. There are also voted for winners in every category from Best Bar to Best Drag Queen which are to be unveiled during the evening’s festivities.

The Get Out Awards is one of the biggest nightlife events of the year featuring DJ Stevie Sidewalk and Hostess Yuhua Hamasaki. Aside from the award presentation there will be entertainment starring Irene Michaels who will perform “I Like Rain” and others.

Irene Michaels is a House Music anomaly and at 78 years old she is rocking the universe. As an actress she has appeared on the hit soap opera General Hospital, in movies including Home Alone 2, Mahogany, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, and others. She is also a lifestyle guru, an award winning equestrian and live cabaret performer. This year has been filled with awards, surprises and opportunities for Irene and nothing is going to stop her now!
