Whitney Port looks somber after husband expressed concern over her weight for ‘aesthetic’ reasons

Reality TV

Whitney Port was seen for the first time since her husband expressed she would be hotter if she put on some weight.

The “Hills” star appeared somber as she was photographed running errands in Los Angeles Tuesday.

For the outing, she rocked a casual, oversized red sweater with baggy jean shorts. She paired the look with sneakers and styled her hair in a slicked-back ponytail.

Her latest public appearance comes just one day after Port’s husband, Tim Rosenman, clarified the comments he made last month, where he expressed concern for his wife’s weight.

During an episode of his wife’s “With Whit” podcast, he explained that he believed Port was “too thin from an aesthetic point of view” and that she could “be hotter.”

“I was concerned that you could be hotter with 10 or 15 more pounds and maybe that’s f–ked up.”

The producer — who has been married to Port since 2015 — also recognized that his explanation might make listeners think he’s “an a–hole” as he stood by his opinion that he “personally prefer[s her] with another 10 to 15 pounds … from a looks point of view.”

Port actually agreed with her hubby, sharing that she also doesn’t like how she looks “aesthetically.”

However, she revealed that her slender frame is due to a previous illness and recovery.

Tim Rosenman had previously said he was “concerned” about his wife’s weight.

“It all stemmed from when I ripped up my esophagus and lost all that weight from when I got sick. Since then, I think I have just not put it back on.”

Both Port and her husband further addressed the online commentary about her body, asking fans to keep their opinion to themselves.

Previously, Por had addressed her eating habits, saying they might be a “type of disordered eating.

In an episode of her podcast released earlier this month, Port said that she sometimes doesn’t eat “out of laziness and pickiness,” adding that she will occasionally “just go hungry” because she does not “care.”

Since then, Port has made plans to build up her strength and see a nutritionist in an attempt to improve her health.

“I’m going to talk to someone and figure it out and figure out what I like and make sure that I’m making that a priority,” she shared.
