Slowdive have released a new song from Everything Is Alive, their first album in six years. The track, “The Slab,” is “the heaviest on the record and as the name suggests we wanted it to feel like a big slab of music,” says Neil Halstead in a press release. “We wanted it to feel very dense.” Take a listen below.

Everything Is Alive, out September 1 via Dead Oceans, was preceded by “Kisses” and “Skin in the Game,” which came with the announcement of an official Slowdive Discord. Their last LP was 2017’s self-titled. Dead Oceans is also hosting listening sessions for the album in immersive sound in London, New York, and Los Angeles
