Andy Cohen jokes about ‘Real Housewives of Ozempic’ season as weight-loss drug runs rampant among casts

Andy Cohen made light of the fact that several stars from the “Real Housewives” franchise are taking controversial drug Ozempic for weight loss purposes.

When TV writer and “Real Housewives” fan Gary Janetti jokingly posted a meme on Instagram Tuesday that read, “This summer on Bravo, The Real Housewives of Ozempic,” the Bravo head honcho wrote back, “It’s already airing.”

Cohen – who serves as an executive producer for the “Real Housewives” franchise – has not been shy about asking the ladies if they’ve taken the diabetes medication to shed some weight.

In April, the “Watch What Happens Live” host, 55, had a conversation with Dolores Catania about her weight loss and the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star admitted to using a version of the drug to achieve her slimmer figure.

Cohen then received backlash for telling her she looked “great” and the TV exec later debated what is the right way to talk about the sensitive issue.

“I’m trying to deliver the goods for my audience watching,” he said on an episode of his SiriusXM show, “Radio Andy,” at the time. “I mean, if Dolores shows up looking 15 pounds lighter, I gotta find out how it happened.”

Catania later explained to Page Six that she’s taking Mounjaro for medical reasons.

“There are layers,” she said on an April episode of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast. “I’m going through menopause, I have a thyroid issue, I have inflammation and weight is hard to take off.”

Meanwhile, Catania’s fellow co-stars Jennifer Fessler and Margaret Josephs have also insinuated they’ve tried some form of the drug.

Several other Bravolebrities have weighed in on the trend and either vehemently denied ever doing it or have cheekily shared their results from using it.

“Shahs of Sunset” star Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi lost a whopping 30 pounds from Ozempic, but she decided to “cut back” on it after losing “a little more weight” than she anticipated and dropping down to 111 pounds.

Can’t get enough ‘Real Housewives?’

“RHONJ” alum Caroline Manzo’s daughter, Lauren Manzo, admitted to using Mounjaro to help her shed the final 30 pounds in her weight-loss journey.

“You guys have seen me struggle with this since I’m 20 years old, and it’s been really hard for me, and I’ve lost a lot of weight from being on that whole ‘Ozempic’ thing,” she explained on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast live show in May.

Meanwhile, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards has clapped back at several fans who have accused her of taking Ozempic for her major body glow-up.

“After gaining weight during the summer — on July 15 [2022] — after getting off the boat I said, ‘That is it. I’m not having any sugar, any carbs, any alcohol,’” the mom of four told fellow “Housewives” Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge on their podcast, “Two Ts In A Pod” in January.

The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Gina Kirschenheiter and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Garcelle Beauvais have also shut down rumors they’re on some form of the drug.
