Andy Cohen: Tom Sandoval weaponized Ariana Madix’s ‘body issues’ with upsetting T-shirt comment

Reality TV

Andy Cohen slammed Tom Sandoval for weaponizing ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix’s “body issues” by mocking her decision to wear a T-shirt during sex.

“Ariana herself in past seasons of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ has talked about not feeling good about her body so to weaponize that, it was so cringe,” the Bravo boss, 55, said Thursday on SiriusXM’s “Radio Andy,” referencing a hurtful comment made by Sandoval, 40, at the “Vanderpump Rules” reunion.

“Tom Sandoval made a comment that the last time he and Ariana had sex that she was wearing a T-shirt and that it was not hot,” Cohen explained.

“And yesterday, that was the remark that I was referring to yesterday on this broadcast, when I said it was something that I thought … would upset women to their core.”

At the “Vanderpump Rules” reunion, Sandoval cruelly mocked Madix for her decision to wear a T-shirt during sex.

The “Watch What Happens Live” host went on to mention that there are “a lot of people with body [issues],” and even admitted that he sometimes keeps it covered during intimate moments.

“Sometimes I wear a T-shirt during sex!” he shared.

During Wednesday night’s final installment of the “VPR” Season 10 reunion, Sandoval’s castmates called him “sick” and “disgusting” for making the sarcastic remark about Madix, 37 — who dumped him after discovering he’d been cheating on her with co-star Raquel Leviss.

Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’ cheating scandal was heavily dissected during the three-part recap.

The pair had been together for nearly a decade prior to the infidelity scandal, which left Madix “heartbroken” and “blindsided.”

Now, Madix is capitalizing off of their split and Sandoval’s ill-received “T-shirt” shade.

She released new merch — a $34.99 graphic shirt, sold on Madix and Katie Maloney’s Something About Her shop — featuring a cartoon version of the betrayed reality star pulling apart a grilled cheese while surrounded by the words “F–k Me in This Shirt.”

In a Glamour cover story interview published Thursday, Madix explained why she is choosing to pursue as many financial opportunities as she can post-Scandoval.

“We have no generational wealth in our family,” the Florida native told the outlet.

“I want to make enough money to be able to take care of my mom and my brother and any other family members who may or may not need it. I never want to worry about it ever, ever, ever,” she elaborated. “So I will work as much as possible to not have to.”
