Teresa Giudice’s daughter Gabriella didn’t hold back on what she really thought of her mom’s larger-than-life wedding hairstyle.
“You literally look like a rat’s nest,” Gabriella, 19, told her mom upon seeing the look for the first time on Tuesday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Gets Married.”
Milania Giudice, 17, also chimed in and joked that “it looks like you have 20 pounds of hair on your head.”
Despite her daughter’s criticism, Teresa infamously walked down the aisle wearing a custom-made $10,000 twisted half-up, half-down look inside of a big crown to marry Luis “Louie” Ruelas on Aug. 6.
Ruelas, 48, saw his wife’s hairstyle for the first time while she began her walk and recalled thinking, “Her hair’s standing up like three feet!”
“It’s what she wanted you know, and that’s beautiful,” Ruelas said in a confessional.
The longtime “RHONJ” star, 51, explained that her hairstylist, Lucia Casazza, designed the hair knowing that Teresa wanted her hair styled away from her face while also working around the massive crown.
“I love the dramatic statement pieces – even if it’s one thing – I like it for it to stand out, be very dramatic, like I love the height of it,” Teresa said in her confessional.
Teresa’s hair consisted of more than 1,500 pins, took nearly four hours to complete and was accessorized with the glamourous headpiece.
“Obviously it’s big, like Queen Elizabeth probably has a crown like that,” Gia Giudice, 22, said in a confessional, while her other sisters laughed and Gabriella added, “110 percent.”
Her other bridesmaids and co-stars also spewed love and support during the wedding but gave slightly hotter takes behind closed doors.
“It’s looking so good,” bridesmaid and co-star Jennifer Aydin told her friend in person while later adding in a confessional, “Hair is supposed to be an accent piece, not the main event.”
Dolores Catania joked in a confessional that while it was “so beautiful,” it could have been a “little bit lower.”
Margaret Josephs, meanwhile, vividly described the hair and joked that she was “waiting for the doves to fly out of her head,” because “what else could she be packing in that hair?”
“She still looks gorgeous I mean you have to be a special woman to carry that off,” Josephs, 56, continued in her confessional.
Can’t get enough ‘Real Housewives?’
Newcomer Danielle Cabral astutely pointed out that her friend perfectly summed up the classic New Jersey saying, “the higher the hair, the closer to God.”
And “Real Housewives of New York City” star Dorinda Medley seemed to be the only guest to give her outright disapproval.
“Teresa looked great, [but] I wasn’t so big on the hair,” Medley told Josephs during the reception.
Giudice and Ruelas tied the knot in front of friends and family – minus brother and sister-in-law Joe and Melissa Gorga – at Park Chateau in East Brunswick, NJ on Aug. 6.
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
