The new mom’s got jokes!
Kate Chastain poked fun at rumors that her longtime friend and former “Below Deck” co-star Chef Ben Robinson is her baby’s father while congratulating him on his recent engagement to new fiancée Kiara Cabral.
“Congratulations!” Chastain wrote atop a screenshot of a news article about his proposal, which she shared via her Instagram Story Thursday.
“She’s going to be the best stepmom ever.”
The former chief stew, 40, announced the arrival of her first child, son Sullivan Cay, last week without disclosing any paternity details.
Fans immediately began speculating that Robinson, who was romantically linked to Chastain between Seasons 2 and 3 of the Bravo reality show, was Sullivan’s dad.
“Why does the baby look like a mini chef Ben lol,” one social media user wondered, as another insisted the newborn was “100000% bens kid.”
Others pointed out the “resemblance” between the two, with one person adding, “Tell me Ben’s the dad without telling me Ben’s the dad 😂.”
Robinson, 42, has yet to confirm or deny the theory, but Chastain shut it down rather quickly.
“For the record, the only thing this handsome guy has in common with any chef is the tendency to get emotional around meal times,” she quipped alongside a photo of her bundle of joy on Monday.
Chastain announced in December 2022 that she was pregnant, going on to tell Bravo honcho Andy Cohen she was “happy” to parent “alone.”
“I think being a chief stew really trained me for it,” she said on “What What Happens Live” at the time.

As the Florida native neared her due date last month, Robinson publicly joked about the pals being “the same weight.”
“But to be fair I have been hitting the gym!” the chef added. “Please wish my great friend an easy delivery and a healthy beautiful baby! I am so proud of who you have become and the mother you will soon be.”
Meanwhile, he was busy getting ready to pop the question to Cabral, 29, whom he has been dating since January 2020.
The UK native told Us Weekly on Wednesday that he got down on one knee in Rome earlier this month.
“I look forward to a life of love and laughter with the lovely Kiara,” he gushed.
