So, we all love DREDGE, and now you want more. Luckily, developer Black Salt Games is doing just that with several DLC releases in the coming months for the Lovecraftian fishing title.

Black Salt Games producer Nadia Thorne took to PlayStation Blog to lay out the postlaunch roadmap for DREDGE, which includes several free updates and a new DLC pack coming later this year. The first update comes later this month in the form of map markers, which allows players to select from different coloured icons to allow for more effective navigation between locations.

The second update will introduce Passive Mode, which will allow players a more leisurely time to focus on fishing and enjoying the serene surroundings, rather than fighting Lovecraftian monsters. Also to be included in this update is a customary Photo Mode, which will see the addition of a new in-game character who’ll help players unlock their camera ability and share clues on where to find some of the local marine wildlife as subjects for your photography, some of which will be brand new.

The third update will introduce boat customizations such as paint schemes and flags to DREDGE, as well as allow players to unlock new boat paint schemes and flags.

Lastly is the DLC pack, which is scheduled for Q4 2023, and introduces the mysterious Ironhaven Corporation. “They’re looking to establish an innovative drilling operation in the area to revitalize the towns and populations, but their ultimate goal is unknown. As you gather materials to construct new buildings and biomatter to fuel the rig, meet new characters, craft new equipment, and catch new fish, you may uncover the truth behind their potentially nefarious operations.”

DREDGE is available now digitally on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
