Kyle Cooke defends Tom Schwartz’s ‘unhinged’ ‘WWHL’ appearance

He’s got at least one supporter!

After “Vanderpump Rules” fans — and even some cast members — annihilated Tom Schwartz for a rather “unhinged” appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” earlier this week, his Bravo brother Kyle Cooke rushed to his defense.

“I think Tom gave honest candid answers and provided a rare unfiltered perspective on this oversaturated topic,” the “Summer House” star wrote in an Instagram comment Thursday in reference to what’s been dubbed Scandoval under @bravoandcocktails_’s post.

“Also keep in mind that it’s tough to give concise answers on WWHL where the 20 minutes fly by and Andy usually has to cut people off bc there’s an itinerary for each episode,” Cooke, 40, continued.

“In this case, Andy knew what he was doing and let Tom take his time.”

During his jaw-dropping sit-down with Cohen, Schwartz, 40, revealed quite a bit of information about his best friend, Tom Sandoval, whose shocking affair with co-star Raquel Leviss first made headlines early last month.

Schwartz admitted he found out about the pair sleeping together “in late August [2022]” and that Sandoval, 40, told him he was “in love” with the former beauty pageant queen, 28, in January.

Schwartz went on to claim that his business partner is “addicted” to Leviss, going so far as to say that “Raquel is Tom’s heroin.”

Even though he spent the majority of his babbling interview putting his pal on blast, Schwartz did ask fans to cut Sandoval some slack, claiming the wannabe rock star “has ADHD” and therefore could not help but become “obsessed.”

He concluded his “word salad,” as Cohen called it, by urging people to “give [Sandoval] a hug” if they see him out and about — a plea that neither Schwartz’s ex-wife, Katie Maloney, nor his ex-friend Lala Kent could support.

But it wasn’t just the context of the conversation that left social media users in shock, as some viewers wondered whether Schwartz was drunk or on something — particularly cocaine, which is infamously believed to be referred to as “pasta” by the “Pump Rules” cast.

“Ya’ll [sic] jump to conclusions when we are verbose, energetic, or unhinged,” Cooke pointed out in his lengthy comment.

“I know Tom well and don’t even think he was buzzed for this,” he added. “Def no 🍝.”

News broke on March 3 that Sandoval’s longtime girlfriend, Ariana Madix, had dumped him after finding a sexually explicit video of Leviss on his phone, which led to the discovery that the two had been “communicating inappropriately” since at least last July.
