Lido Pimienta has shared the music video for “Te Quería,” a track from her 2020 LP Miss Colombia. The video depicts Pimienta in a fantasy world as “Queen of the Clowns,” dancing with her clown court before being interrupted a sad clown who turns his gun on them. Check it out below. 

Of the new clip, Pimienta said in a statement: 

“The visual for ‘Te Quería’ has always been conceived as a story about transformation—about getting right back up, despite having our spirit shut down. ‘Te Quería’ is a song that exposes toxic relationships, power imbalances and the need for some people, particularly those who we love the most, to confuse our generosity for stupidity.”

Pimienta toured the world in support of Miss Colombia last year. In the Fall, she debuted a new variety program called Lido TV at the Toronto International Film Festival.
