See Lea Michele’s Gleeful Joke About How She Needs to “Learn to Read”

Celebrity

This TikTok is the rose of sheer perfection.

Lea Michele took to TikTok with a comical video that poked fun at the rumor she doesn’t know how to read or write. In the clip, shared Feb. 8, Lea is seen holding her hand over her mouth while standing in front of a post about Barbra Streisand‘s upcoming memoir.

Lea, who is currently playing Barbra’s iconic role of Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway, paired the footage with the words, “265 days to learn to READ!!!!”

While the book release will mark Barbra’s first ever memoir, this is not the first time Lea has poked fun at the viral rumor, which according to i-D, stemmed from a 2017 video made by podcasters.

Back in September, Lea posted a TikTok to an audio clip of Kim Kardashian saying, ”It’s amazing but wait, can you talk for a sec?” The clip was paired with the words, “Calling Jonathan [Groff] to read me the comments on my first TikTok.”
