Adriana de Moura feels for Lisa Hochstein after the latter’s husband, Lenny Hochstein, allegedly cheated with a 27-year-old model.
“In Lisa’s position, it’s not easy to be traded in for a new model, a newer model, and then to go out and see your still-husband with somebody else,” the “Real Housewives of Miami” star, 57, exclusively tells Page Six.
“It’s a lot to take in,” de Moura adds.
The famed plastic surgeon, 56, filed for divorce from Lisa, 40, in May after 12 years of marriage. The exes share two young children: son Logan, 7, and daughter Elle, 3.
Lenny seemingly began dating Katharina Mazepa while still married to Lisa, though the self-proclaimed “boob god” has consistently maintained that there was no overlap.
However, a new “RHOM” scene seems to suggest otherwise.
In a shocking hot mic moment filmed this spring, Lenny is heard telling a friend his plans to divorce Lisa, who apparently had “no idea” at the time.
In another portion of Lenny’s whispered diatribe, he admits that he and Lisa hadn’t been intimate, as that would’ve meant he’d be “cheating on who [he] really [cares] about” — presumably referring to Mazepa.
Lenny previously insisted that he met Mazepa only after he and Lisa decided to part ways. Lisa, however, told Page Six in May that she was “blindsided” by the news.
“That’s just quite horrible because you have haven’t put your marriage to rest yet, and here you are already stomping on your marriage … saying, ‘Oh, I’m not going to be [intimate],’” de Moura tells Page Six of Lenny’s remarks.
“It’s pretty painful and hurtful when your guy doesn’t want to be with you because he’s with somebody else,” the “Feel the Rush” singer adds. “It’s not nice.”
De Moura, who has navigated divorces from ex-husbands Roberto Sidi and Frederic Marq, says that Lisa has been able to lean on her throughout her split from Lenny.
“Divorce puts you in a position where it’s, like, swim or sink. You don’t have an option then, so then your only option is to be there for yourself and be strong and hope that your friends can be there for you,” she says.
“Either it’s that or you give up and I’m not the type that gives up and neither is Lisa. So it’s going through the tough time and then coming out much stronger, realizing, ‘Wow, I did that. I can survive this loss.’”
With reflection, de Moura says there were “red flags” indicating trouble in paradise for the Hochsteins.
“In the middle of the season, I saw [Lenny] was getting fit, he was exercising and we went over to their house for a party and he was looking trim [with a] six-pack and I’m like, ‘Hmm, this to me is a red flag,’” she remembers.
“When a married man that has been comfortable developing the dad bod and then all of a sudden now he’s going for the shred? There’s someone behind that.”
Mezapa, for her part, told Page Six in May that she was not responsible for Lenny’s separation from Lisa.
“The reality is that both Lenny and I have been separated from our spouses for a while and are both going through divorces,” the Austrian model asserted. “I was informed Lisa was fully aware that he was going out with me.”
The Hochsteins’ divorce has been particularly contentious. Lisa accused Lenny of cutting her off financially and therefore leaving her unable to buy diapers and food for their children. In response, Lenny claimed his estranged wife earns $30,000 per episode of “RHOM.”
Still, de Moura is hopeful that Lisa and Lenny will establish a peaceful co-parenting dynamic in the future.
“I think they’re going to go through the rough patches, the divorce negotiations, the custody, all those things, the division of assets and then once that’s settled and done, I think they’ll probably find themselves [in a better place],” she says.
“They have two beautiful children together and I think they’ll be able to co-parent as they both move on in their new lives.”
In the meantime, de Moura is happy to see Lisa regain the “spring in her step” — including a desire to date again and remarry one day.
“It’s very nice to see her finding her step again, that spring in her step, and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel,” she says of her pal. “I love that.”
