Kyle Abrams, Deepti Vempati split days after confirming romance on ‘Love Is Blind’

Reality TV

Well, that was quick.

“Love Is Blind” stars Kyle Abrams announced he and Deepti Vempati have split — just days after their romance was confirmed on the popular Netflix reality TV franchise.

“I understand many of you are curious as to where Deepti and I stand today,” Abrams wrote in an Instagram post Monday.

“Since After the Alter was filmed, we decided to go our separate ways early summer. Thank you to everyone who has followed our journey through ardous vulnerability and has supported us along the way.”

He then revealed that he “since embarked on a new relationship which I intend to keep private for a bit.”

“As for what the future holds, I have no clue. Going forward I plan to live each day in the present without any regret.”

Vempati, on the other hand, has yet to address the end of their relationship.

However, Abrams was not without support from his “Love Is Blind” castmates after announcing their breakup.

Shayne Jansen commented, “Don’t worry everyone. I’ll paparazzi the s–t out of them 👀 keep your head on a swivel.”

Abrams, 30, and Vempati, 31, decided to take their relationship to the next level as cameras rolled for “Love Is Blind: After the Altar” Season 2.

“I want to just start a relationship — like a legitimate relationship with you,” Abrams told Vempati, adding that he wanted to “be exclusive” rather than “just, like, in limbo.”

“We’re going to actually try this?” she asked him as the duo chatted on a balcony.

“Yeah, sure,” Abrams replied. “I want to.”

Abrams recently admitted to People that he was fearful of taking such a leap as he didn’t want to mar his friendship with Vempati.

“I put so much pressure on myself because I was like, ‘I don’t want this to fail’. I was hesitant to jump in for that reason because she was my best friend,” the construction worker told the outlet.

“And if it doesn’t work out, you kind of lose the friendship. Because if you break up for whatever reason — and I wasn’t planning to break up — but you always have to think about what happens after.”

Abrams, who was previously engaged to fellow “Love Is Blind” star Shaina Hurley, said that the boyfriend-girlfriend label didn’t upend his dynamic with Vempati in any way.

“After that, it was like nothing really changed because I felt like we were dating already,” he explained.

“We saw each other almost every day. We spent hours together. We did everything together. She had even met my family, so it wasn’t weird or anything.”

Meanwhile, Vempati — who nearly wed Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee — never publicly acknowledged her romance with Abrams beyond the “After the Altar.”

During March’s “Love Is Blind” reunion, Abrams told hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey that he “regretted” not proposing to Vempati.

“I should have tried harder for [Vempati],” he said of the information data analyst. “I love her so much, she’s the best. And I wish I saw what was right in front of me and that’s my biggest regret. I’m sorry.”

Vempati later told New York Magazine that their connection didn’t come “out of the blue,” elaborating, “We do have this foundational bond.”

Speculation of a serious relationship began this spring when the pair were spotted looking cozy while spending time together in Chicago.
