‘Death Stranding’ Coming to PC Game Pass This Week [Trailer]

Horror

Fans who have missed out on Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding will be vindicated this week, as Xbox has announced that the game will be headed to Xbox Game Pass for PC on August 23. Keep in mind that this is not the Director’s Cut of Death Stranding, but players will still get some in-game goodies to call their own.

As with the PC version that’s currently available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, the PC Game Pass version of Death Stranding features enhancements such as an ultrawide mode, photo mode, high frame rate, and cross-over content from Half-Life 2 and Cyberpunk 2077. The PC Game Pass Edition of Death Stranding will also include several in-game items that players will unlock as they progress through the story:

  • Chiral Gold / Omnireflector “Ludens Mask” Sunglasses (Color Variant)
  • Gold and Silver Power Skeleton
  • Gold and Silver All-Terrain Skeleton
  • Gold and Silver Armor Plate

The story for Death Stranding takes place in the near future, where mysterious explosions have rocked the globe, setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding. With otherworldly creatures plaguing the landscape, and mass extinction imminent, it’s up to Sam Porter Bridges to travel across the ravaged wasteland and save humanity from impending annihilation.

Meanwhile, apart from Kojima signing a deal with Xbox Game Studios for his next title (which is rumoured to be the horror-related Overdose), Norman Reedus recently dropped hints that a sequel to Death Stranding is on the way.
