Shudder Renews “The Last Drive-In With Joe Bob Briggs” for Season 5!

Horror

The first official “American Horror Story” spinoff, Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Stories” returns for Season 2 on July 21, and FX on Hulu has unleashed the teaser trailer this afternoon.

The “American Horror Stories” Season 2 teaser is filled with human-doll hybrids, suggesting that the new season will be going heavy on the creepy doll imagery. Then again, you never really know with “American Horror Story,” as early teasers can be deceiving…

Today’s teaser trailer doesn’t appear to feature any actual footage from “American Horror Stories” Season 2, so it’s hard to know what to expect. But stay tuned for a full trailer soon!

The spinoff anthology features hour-long contained episodes, and it’s exclusively available through FX on Hulu. The new series mostly tells original stories unconnected to the main “AHS” series, though Season 1 was book-ended by a “Murder House” continuation.

Deadline notes, “According to FX, American Horror Stories marked the most successful launch of any FX on Hulu series to date.” No surprise there, as “AHS” has long been a hit franchise.
