Much like the new iteration of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the family’s central sun Kim Kardashian is undergoing a transformation. She’s getting divorced from Kanye West, who legally changed his name to Ye, and is figuring out exactly what that means for her. She’s a lawyer, a fashion icon, and now a girlfriend to none other than Pete Davidson.
It’s crazy how the idea of Pete and Kim dating went from absolute nonsense to being our day-to-day reality. I mean, the whole debacle with Kim wearing Marilyn Monroe’s dress sort of outshined her red carpet debut with the comedian. Ye hasn’t been very happy that Kim has moved on with Pete, but that isn’t stopping Kete from falling head-first into their love. Now, they’re taking things to the next level by making him a part of the KUWTK family.
Apparently, for Pete Davidson, the first base in a relationship is getting a tattoo of your significant other’s name. Then, only after, does he meet their existing children from other relationships. E! Online reports that Kim waited until she and Pete were officially dating for 6 months before introducing her boo to her little gang of four kids. “It’s different for everyone and different things work for different people,” Kim said on Today. “But you just have to do what feels right and try to just be as respectful and cautious as possible.” Knowing that North West can be a little shady, I wonder what she had to say about her mom’s new BF branding “KIM” onto his chest.
Kete is for real in love love love. However, Kim didn’t take the decision to introduce Pete to the kids lightly. She says she consulted Kourtney Kardashian, who’s experienced at co-parenting with Scott Disick, especially now that she’s Mrs. Travis Barker. “Luckily, I have a sister that’s been through it all and we talked about it,” she said. Kim added that she consulted “a few therapists” beforehand too, which sounds like the super responsible way to handle the precarious situation.
An “anonymous source” told E! that it’s been natural for Pete and Kim’s kids to spend more time together. “She loves that she can trust Pete to take them to do activities on his own,” the insider said. “It takes a lot of stress off of her and their relationship. She thinks it’s really cute and is grateful how seamless it’s been.” I would have never imagined this relationship in my wildest dreams, but it’s good to hear that the family is open to accepting Pete into their A-list tribe.
