Melissa Gorga: People were ‘proud’ of Joe for tenant screaming video

Reality TV

Melissa Gorga says husband Joe Gorga received several messages of “love” last week after a video surfaced of him screaming with a tenant over years of allegedly unpaid rent.

“The amount of calls and texts we got that were so proud of him. They were like, ‘That man should pay his rent,’” Melissa told Page Six Friday at Mohegan Sun’s Toast with the Host.

“I never want him to yell at anyone … but he actually got love, and people were proud that he stood up for [himself].”

The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, 43, also claimed that the tenant in question “steals” packages and deliveries from other tenants in Joe’s building.

“He’s just not a good guy, so Joe did him a favor. The guy screwed him like he screws everyone else,” she alleged.

“So it was very sad, and Joe lost his s–t, which is never good. But at the same time, everyone was so proud of him. He did what he did, but the guy’s a real scumbag and he deserved it. So, that’s that. Sorry not sorry.”

Joe, who was recorded getting into a screaming match with a tenant who allegedly hasn’t paid rent in “four f–king years,” also defended his comments.

“I just don’t do well with people that don’t do the right thing in life and don’t hustle and don’t work and don’t try, and so I’m gonna stand by how I handled it,” Joe, 42, said in a nearly three-minute video obtained by TMZ last Wednesday.

The dad of three also alleged that his “terrible, terrible” tenant owes him $89,000 in unpaid rent and claimed he stopped paying three months into his lease.

The tenant, however, disagrees and claimed he only owed Gorga rent from January until now.
