It seems that the sacraments of life are good opportunities to mend fences in any kind of relationship. Teresa Giudice may have failed to engratiate herself to brother Joe Gorga and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga during son Gino’s Christening, but the Real Housewives of New Jersey OG star is using her nuptials as an olive branch of sorts. Well, Melissa isn’t getting the olive branch. In fact, she was shockingly not included in the bridal party.
No, Teresa is working on reconciling with RHONJ costar Margaret Josephs. The two ladies butted heads all season regarding Teresa’s fiance Luis Ruelas’s romantic history. Teresa’s strategy was to sweep all conversation under the rug, while Margaret pushed for answers regarding the allegations of assault from his exes and a strange video recording.
It culminated in Teresa throwing a drink on Margaret from across a dining table. Producers had Teresa and Luis spend the night at a hotel, for safety. Teresa apologized to Margaret, but it was half-hearted and lacking personal responsibility. And the ladies hardly moved forward at the RHONJ reunion.
So how did Margaret snag an invite? My money is on Luis’s influence and his attempts at reconciliation that we saw during the season. And according to an article from Entertainment Tonight, Luis is very much involved in planning the wedding.
Luis told the publication that he and Teresa are, “Very much in it together.” The RHONJ star said, “I love his taste.”
So presumably, Luis added his two cents when preparing the guest list. Thanks to Ramona Singer, we know that the invites went out. When asked if former nemesis Margaret will attend, Teresa answered, “Maybe, she’s on the list, what do you think right?”
“Margaret’s a good person,” Luis added.
Clearly, Luis’s influence for peace scored Margaret an invite. But there is no further explanation from Teresa. When asked if Margaret’s invitation was, “a sign that you guys are in a good place right now,” Teresa reiterated, “Maybe. She’s on the list. What do you think?”
Perhaps more will come to light during the next season of RHONJ. Until then, us fans have the premiere reality TV event this summer to look forward to. Whether Teresa and Luis allow Bravo cameras at their wedding remains to be seen. But there still is all the juicy gossip and tea that will spill before, during, and after this event.
Apparently, invites have been extended to other Real Housewives. Former RHONJ star Dina Manzo will be at Teresa’s wedding, just don’t expect her sister Caroline Manzo to attend. Kenya Moore received an invite, as well as Real Housewives of New York stars Luann de Lesseps and Ramona.
