“Stranger Things 4” is coming.

Volume I of “Stranger Things” season four arrives on Netflix on May 27, 2022, which will drop the first seven of nine episodes. Ahead of its release, the streaming service debuted the first eight minutes of the season premiere.

Instead of giving us a glimpse of where the characters are since the battle at Starcourt Mall, the below clip gives us a surprisingly dark glimpse into Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown) past in the lab overseen by Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine). It sets a much darker tone.
