Bravo Hasn’t Called Jill Zarin About The Real Housewives Of New York Legacy Show

Reality TV

In case you were wondering about Jill Zarin recently, the former Real Housewives of New York star has news for you.  Actually, it’s a whole lot of non-news.  Unless you have been on the edge of your seat in the hopes that Jill will participate in the RHONY legacy show.

Apparently there is enough of a consumer market for Page Six to report if Jill has heard anything from Bravo yet.  Because she’s certainly let EVERYBODY know that she is interested in a RHONY comeback. To be fair though, Andy Cohen is not lacking for desperate former housewives hustling him for a gig.

“No I haven’t heard from anybody,” Jill revealed.

Jill’s only consolation is her belief that none of the former RHONY housewives have been selected yet.  She was asked if it was “disrespectful” that Bravo had yet to respond.  Jill answered, “Now if everybody’s been called and I wasn’t, then of course I’d be a little hurt, but no one’s been called.”

After tanking ratings and the promise of a full RHONY cast shakeup, it’s possible that Bravo is prioritizing the reboot.  The spin off show that was announced in March would have created a cast out of alumni members. Leah McSweeney and Kelly Bensimon both expressed their desire to return.  While fan favorite Bethenny Frankel labeled the idea, “f-king boring.” Carole Radziwill also has no interest in participating.

Meanwhile, Bravo is looking for a fresh cast for the original series. Jill explained, “I think they’re worried about the regular show and getting that running, because they know we’re all here.”

Despite Jill’s apparent desperation, she also claimed she would never “hold a grudge ever” if she is passed over.  She certainly seems to think her participation is paramount.  Jill described herself as “pretty hard to forget.”

The lady doth protest too much, yet also claimed that she wouldn’t want to be involved in a failing project.  Jill said, “I did the [original] show, it was very successful, and it hasn’t been lately.  I want to be on something that’s going to work and make sense.”

Jill was an original RHONY cast member and stayed on for four seasons.  After her departure, Jill occasionally made an appearance at society events.  Presumably, the show did just fine in her absence.
