Hot on the heels of the controversial “Yes Sir, Mr. El Moussa” tattoo on her hip, Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa is getting inked again. This time a matching set with new hubby, Tarek El Moussa. As you do. Here’s hoping this time, they’ll be less cringe worthy.

According to Page Six, the couple inked their wedding date and each other’s initials. Tarek also got his two children’s birth dates. Both Heather and Tarek made sure to leave room for any children they might have together. Planning ahead. I think that’s nice.

Tarek never planned on getting a new tattoo. “I only have one tattoo. It’s on my back and it’s so bad I swore I would never get another one but of course, I’m in love with Heather so I have to get our wedding date.” Does this mean my husband of almost 20 years doesn’t love me, since he’s never gotten one? But I digress.

“A tattoo is forever … so is a marriage,” said Heather, seemingly forgetting that hers was Tarek‘s second marriage. Not to point out the obvious, but clearly, not.

Has Heather learned nothing from her reality TV counterparts? Tamra Barney Judge had to get the wedding ring tattoo she got to convince Simon Barney that their marriage was not over. Spoiler alert. It was.

Meghan Edmonds King, finally rid herself of all vestiges of dad-jean wearing Jim Edmonds. The former Real Housewife of Orange County removed JE from her arm to have a clean slate to work with. Which probably didn’t end up the way she hoped. Just saying. But here’s to learning NOT to permanently ink the name of someone you knew for only three weeks before marrying them. That’s growth right there.

Most recently Vanderpump RulesLala Kent turned her “Rand” tattoo into “bRand New.” Good-bye Randall Emmett. Now if only co-parenting could be as easily disposed of.

I don’t know about you, but I’m beginning to think that tattoos are the new vow renewal curse of reality TV. I got to wonder if we are going to see Katie Maloney or Tom Schwartz visiting the tattoo removal parlor anytime in the near future. Ya think?
