LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga – Best Game Modifiers to Unlock First

Movies

In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, players can unlock the best modifiers to drastically alter either how the game can be played, in terms of both practicality and pure humor. Game modifiers have always been a huge part of LEGO games, adding in features such as Stud multipliers, cosmetic changes, and more. In order to unlock modifiers, players will need a lot of Studs and Datacads.

The Datacards in LEGO Star Wars are a form of currency that is specifically used to unlock modifiers. There are 19 Datacards in total, and only one is used at a time to purchase any given modifier. The amount of Studs needed per modifier is the complete opposite, with some of them costing between 500,000 and two million Studs, while the highest modifier costs upwards of 340 million. Fortunately, the best modifiers to get first will help significantly reduce the cost of the others, and can even allow players to have some fun with the cosmetic changes that some of the others provide.

In order to gather more Datacards and unlock more modifiers, players will need to complete more missions and episodes to gain Free Play access with all characters in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The Datacards are hidden in areas that are originally part of the Story Mode for any given episode, making it impossible to collect them all without the use of other characters and their abilities. Fortunately, as long as a planet or location has been unlocked in any episode’s Story Mode it will also be unlocked for any Free Play that takes place in another episode. This makes it significantly easier to collect more Datapads as new characters are unlocked as well.

The best game modifiers to get first are a mix of practical and comical selections, but without a doubt players ultimately need to unlock a Stud multiplier as soon as possible. Not having a Stud multiplier unlocked essentially means that players are missing out on currency that could be used to unlock more characters or skills in LEGO Star Wars. The Studs x4 is definitely the best option to get first, as it requires only one Datapad and two million Studs to unlock, making it significantly easier to unlock all the rest of the best modifiers such as:

  • Super GNK Droid: Adds a golden GNK droid to the party. Super GNK is invincible, moves very quickly, and has a mustache.
  • Porg Companion: A porg companion will aid players in battle, occasionally sending enemies into a frenzy with a piercing scream.
  • Baguette Lightsabers: Turns all Lightsabers into freshly baked baguettes.
  • Universal Translator: Allows any playable character to understand any language.
