This week, IDW Publishing revealed the release date for the last installment of the TMNT’s dark future story, as issue five will finally arrive in comic book stores on April 27, 2022.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is a story decades in the making. The five-issue series takes place in a dark future where Michelangelo is the last surviving member of his family. After the Turtle’s brothers died in the war against the Foot Clan, the lovable hero turned into Ronin as he became deeply impacted by the massive trauma inflicted in his life. After being suicidal, Michelangelo was found and eventually teamed up with April O’Neil and her daughter Casey Jones Jr. to take down those who killed his family. Michelangelo’s mission is to get revenge on Oroku Hiroto, the leader of the ninja organization, and end the Foot Clan for good.
This week, IDW Publishing revealed the release date for the final chapter of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin by Kevin Eastman, Tom Waltz, Ben Bishop, Peter Laird, Esau Escorza, Isaac Ecorza, and Luis Antonio Delgado, as the final chapter is set to come out on April 27, 2022. Readers have been incredibly patient with the series, as the first issue launched in October 2020, while the last released issue, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin #4, came out on September 22. 2022.
