Domestic Violence Case Against Alexia Echevarria’s Son Peter Rosello Is Dismissed

Reality TV

Being a real housewife puts you front and center in the public eye. And as any housewife knows, that extends to your family too. Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Echevarria recently faced a very public matter. Her son, Peter Rosello, was arrested on domestic violence allegations. Castmate and best friend Marysol Patton admitted that the news was tough on Alexia. She stated,“That was hard for her, obviously.”

But now the charges against him have been dismissed. As reported by Page Six, attorney Peter Heller confirmed. He stated, “After a pre-file investigation of the case by the State Attorney’s office, the decision was made not to file charges against Peter Alexander Rosello. There was no evidence to support allegations. The case was dismissed and is now closed.”

The State Attorney’s Office noted that they did not have a “good faith basis to proceed trial and took no action on the case.” This was due to the alleged victim refusing to cooperate. Per court documents, the alleged victim said she “freely and voluntarily” chose not to cooperate. The victim also remains unnamed.

The dismissal came after Peter was arrested and charged with a battery misdemeanor in January of this year. He was accused of slapping and kicking his girlfriend. The police report said Peter allegedly kneed the victim “in her crotch area, causing her to fall down to the ground. The defendant then kicked the victim once while she was on the ground.” In addition, a witness told police what they saw. They claimed they saw Peter “pull the victim inside of the apartment as she was trying to free herself from his grip.”

A source close to Alexia’s family said that they are “happy that Peter was vindicated by the justice system and they look forward to moving on.”

On the current season of RHOM, Alexia has also faced challenges with Peter getting along with her now-husband, Todd Nepola. The two butted heads on a recent episode over the care of Alexia’s other son, Frankie Rosello. While the fight was very heated, Alexia shared that they have since become close. Alexia recently said, “They’re in a great place today. They’re closer than ever.”
